Mission Statement of Act II

 

     
The ACT II Thrift Shop is a non-profit enterprise.   Its primary mission is to raise funds to ensure partial coverage of the Madison A Better Chance (ABC) Program costs.  Its secondary mission is to contribute to other youth-related humanitarian, educational, cultural and social concerns on local, national and global levels. The Thrift Shop functions in partnership with the community, and is 100 % managed and staffed by volunteers fully committed to the continued success of the Madison ABC Program and other non-profits causes.  Merchandise sold through the Shop comes solely from community donations.

     Since its inception in July 2004 ACT II has contributed to the Madison ABC Program,  The Madison Foundation, The Katrina Fund, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund,  Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Madison Youth, Madison Read Aloud Program, Books to Read, Madison Little League Girls Softball,  Nite at Hand, Loaves & Fishes, the Nicaraguan Relief Fund,  the Branfrord Community Dining Room, the Shoreline Kitchen, the W.C.Scranton Library, the Sophie Dunn Fund,  the Alexander Wilson Fund, the Giulia Migani Fund,  the Prader-Willi Syndrom Association, Madison Community Services, Warm the Children and Circle of Care.
